The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), the alleged rape case in the premises of Calcutta, has admitted to buying sleeping pills from a nearest drugstore, which she had merged the woman before committing the crime and merged the ‘cold drinks’ and drinking water to the woman. A senior police officer gave this information on Monday.
He said that however, the police have found several discrepancies in the statements of the accused student.
“The accused has admitted that he had bought sleeping pills and mixed them in cold drinks and drinking water, which she gave to the woman when she was there. But he could not tell what was his real intention behind doing so with the woman who came to her for counseling. He is not answering this question. ”
He said that the circumstantial evidence revealed that the victim went to a room in the boys’ hostel after drinking cold drinks, where the alleged crime was committed.
The official said, “After committing the crime, the accused called a friend and told him about the whole incident. During the conversation, he was walking in front of the room in the verandah where the crime took place. ”
Talking about the rape victim, the officer said that there is confusion about whether he is really psychological.
He said, “She could not present any documents in support of her ability that she was a psychologist. He did not say which institute he studied. We have not yet received information about their clinics (Chamber) and any prescription with their names and other details. ”
Regarding the “contradictory” statement by the victim’s father, the police said that they are also trying to find out if there is “pressure” on the family to change the statement.
The police officer said that he is also finding out whether the victim’s family has been given any money to change this statement.
