Waterlogging after heavy rains in Bengaluru
Various areas have been badly affected due to heavy rains in Bengaluru, water has been flooded on the streets and many residential areas have been submerged. There is a possibility of more rain in the city. According to the Bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bangalore recorded 103 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. Videos of submerged roads from different parts of Bengaluru are coming out on social media, showing what kind of problems the city is struggling amidst the rain.
Meanwhile, BJP MP from Bangalore Central PC Mohan on Monday urged the city companies including Infosys to consider allowing the house to work from home amid heavy rains in the city. Due to heavy rains, daily life has been disrupted due to waterlogging in many areas.
Woman dies due to falling wall of IT company
At the same time, a 35 -year -old woman died after a wall of an IT company collapsed in Bengaluru due to rain on Monday. Police officials said the deceased has been identified as an employee of the private area as 35 -year -old Sasikala. This is the first death in rain -related incident since the onset of rain in this season.

Heavy rain may occur in Bengaluru for next 2 days
IMD’s Bangalore Center Director N. Puviyarsu said that the ‘Yellow Alert’ released on 18 May for some areas of Karnataka including Bengaluru will be effective on Tuesday. Puviyarasu said, “According to the current state of cyclonic winds, there will be heavy rainfall in Karnataka, especially in coastal parts. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Bengaluru for the next two days. ”
‘Yellow alert’ released in 23 districts of Karnataka
The IMD has warned that some areas between ‘Yellow Alert’ may temporarily disrupted power supply, there may be a slight barrier in traffic and weakened trees and branches may be uprooted. IMD on Sunday released ‘Yellow Alert’ on heavy rains in 23 districts of Karnataka including Bengaluru. The extremely affected districts include Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Kolar, Chikkalpura, Tumkuru, Mandya, Mysuru, Hassan, Kodagu, Belagavi, Bidar, Raichur, Yadgir, Davanagere and Chitradurga.
