Year Ender 2024: The year 2024 is towards its last stage. This year is witnessing a plethora of political events in the country. The most important among these was the Lok Sabha elections 2024. At the same time, assembly elections were also held in 3 states and one union territory of the country. Voting for Lok Sabha elections 2024 took place in the country in 7 phases from 19 April 2024 to 1 June 2024. The results of the elections for 543 seats were released on 4 June 2024. In this election, the BJP led NDA alliance won 292 seats and easily secured the majority. At the same time, INDIA Alliance of opposition parties won 234 seats. Other parties got 17 seats. Talking about the parties that won the most seats, BJP won 240 seats, Congress 99, Samajwadi Party 37, Trinamool Congress 29, DMK 22, TDP 16 and JDU 12 seats.
Haryana Assembly Elections
Assembly elections 2024 for 90 seats in Haryana were held on October 5. The results of this election were revealed on 8 October and BJP won power in the state for the third consecutive time. BJP achieved absolute majority in the elections by winning 48 seats. Congress party won 37 seats. At the same time, INLD won two seats and three independents also won the elections.
Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections
Assembly elections were held in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir after about 10 years. Voting was held in 3 phases in the state on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October. At the same time, the results of the elections were declared on 8 October. The alliance of National Conference and Congress won this election. In the elections held on 90 seats, National Conference got 42 seats, BJP 29 seats, Congress 6 seats, PDP 3 seats, JPC 1 seat, CPIM 1 seat and AAP 1 seat. Whereas, independent candidates won on 7 seats.
maharashtra assembly elections
Elections for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra were held on November 20. At the same time, the election results were revealed on 23 November. In the assembly elections, BJP, which is part of the Grand Alliance, has won 132 seats, NCP 41 and Shiv Sena 57 seats (total 230). The alliance won an overwhelming majority. At the same time, Shiv Sena (UBT), included in Mahavikas Aghadi, has won 20 seats, Congress 16 and NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) 10 (total 46) seats. The remaining 12 seats have been won by other parties or independent candidates.
Jharkhand assembly elections
Elections were held on 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand in two phases on 13 November and 20 November 2024. The election results were released on 23 November. The alliance of JMM, Congress and RJD won the elections. JMM 34 seats, BJP 21 seats, Congress 16 seats, RJD 4 seats, CPI(ML)(L) 2 seats, AJSU 1 seat, LJP Ram Vilas 1 seat, JLKM 1 seat and JDU 1 seat. The seat has been won.
