Jalaluddin alias Chhangur Baba was arrested by UP ATS on 5 July. A day earlier, the administration demolished a bulldozer on a kothi built illegally on about 3 bighas of land in Madhpur village of Chhangur Baba’s Balrampur. This Kothi was named after Neetu alias Nasreen, close to Chhangur Baba. According to Aaj Tak, Neetu is closest to Naveen Vohra alias Nasreen Jalaluddin. Nasreen is originally from Tamil Nadu. She came in contact with her husband Naveen Vohra in contact with Chhangur Baba. Later, she was so impressed with Chhangur Baba that at her behest, she converted with her husband.
The media report claimed that Chhangur used to keep Baba Nasreen with his wife. Yogi Adityanath wrote on his social media post on Tuesday about Chhangur Baba, the assets of conversion and all the criminals associated with his gang will be confiscated and strict legal action will be taken. They will be punished according to the law, which became an example for the society. The government is completely committed to the dignity and security of sisters and daughters.
