New Delhi. A new video of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah is going viral on social media, in which he is seen singing the hymns of Mata Vaishno Devi in an ashram in Katra. He mesmerized all the people present there by singing the bhajan ‘Tune Mujhe Bulaya Sherawaliye’. In this program, he created an atmosphere of devotion with the children and other artists.
Concern expressed over ropeway project
During the bhajan program, Farooq Abdullah also spoke openly on the issues of the local people of Katra. He appealed to protect the interests of local residents while opposing the ropeway project. He said, “Those running the temple should not do any work that may cause trouble to the local people. “Work on such projects should be done keeping in mind people’s opinion.”
‘Religion is misused for selfish reasons’
Farooq Abdullah also spoke on the misuse of religion. He said that religion is equal for everyone, but some people misuse it for their selfishness. Emphasizing the importance of livelihood of the local residents, he said that people living here earn their livelihood with the blessings of Mother Goddess and they should not be ignored.

This initiative of Farooq Abdullah is being appreciated a lot on social media. His style shows how different his thinking is in connecting politics and religion.
