The electricity department of UP has been requested by the lawyer of Sambhal MP to give more time in this case, but till now the electricity department has not given any more time in the case related to electricity theft at the house of Ziaurrahman Burke. The electricity department will decide after discussing with the big officers whether to give more time to Ziaurrahman Burke. In the case of power theft, the department has already given time to SP MP Burke from Sambhal to pay fine. Now after the final report is prepared, a fine will be charged from Ziaurrahman Burke.

The electricity department waged a big campaign against power theft in Sambhal. Meanwhile, the electricity department officials and employees arrived at the house of Ziaurrahman Burke in Sambhal’s Deepa Sarai locality on 19 December 2024. The electricity department says that more than 16 kW of power consumption was detected at the house of SP MP Ziaurrahman Burke. Whereas, there were only 2 meters of 2-2 kW in the names of Ziaurrahman and his grandfather and former MP Shafiqurrahman Burke. Electricity consumption in these electricity meters was zero. When the meter was checked, it was detected by the power theft. After this, the electricity department imposed a fine of Rs 1.91 crore on Ziaurrahman Burke.
Ziaurrahman Burke has not yet paid the fine on the notice received from the Electricity Department. At the same time, a case of illegal construction is also going on in Burke’s house. The next hearing in the illegal construction case of Ziaurrahman Burke’s house is on 15 April. SDM Vandana Mishra has received reports related to illegal construction of Berk’s house. The SDM had said in the notice sent to Ziaurrahman Burke that a new construction has been done without approval and passing the map. At the same time, Mamalukurrahman Burke, father of Ziaurrahman Burke, says that the notice should be issued to him. Because the place where it was constructed is in their name.
