Jaipur . Rajivika Saras Craft Mela 2022 organized by Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council concluded with pomp. On the last day of the fair, a large crowd of people was seen. In this fair, the products of rural India were highly appreciated by the residents of the city. During the entire fair, people came in large numbers to enjoy and shop fiercely. The maximum sales were made of spices brought by a self-help group from Kerala. At the same time, second and third place respectively were the applique of Chetri Gulab and Barmed prepared by Roopan Mata SHG of Rajsamand.
Self help groups got recognition from Saras fair
On the concluding day, Project Director (Administration) of Rajivika, Hardeep Singh Chopra, while encouraging the artisans from other states including Rajasthan, who participated in the fair, congratulated them. Also appreciated the efforts of the project personnel for its successful organization. He said that the Saras Mela, which is organized every year, is playing an important role in keeping the country’s rural culture alive as well as in carrying forward the heritage of India.
Women from 112 Self Help Groups from all 33 districts of Rajasthan participated in the Rajivika Saras Mela being run at Jawahar Kala Kendra. Women from 48 Self Help Groups from 13 states including Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Punjab and Uttarakhand with their regional handmade products Joined.
At the end of the day, the first three best selling stalls were awarded by Rajeevika with a citation. Certificates were also given to other participants.
