In the NEET paper leak case, 11 candidates will be questioned on 18th and 19th June. All these candidates have been called to the EOU office for questioning on 18th and 19th June. Apart from Bihar, the candidates are from UP and Maharashtra. After getting the roll codes of all these candidates, information about them was sought from NTA. Among the total fraudsters sent to jail in the paper leak case, suspended JE of Danapur Municipal Council Sikandar Yadavendu, Nitish Kumar of Gaya and Amit Anand of Munger are prominent. All three are related to exam mafia Sanjeev Mukhiya. Police is still searching for Sanjeev Mukhiya.
Who is Sikandar
Sikandar became a junior engineer in 2012. Sikandar is the main accused and chargesheeted in the 2.92 crore LED scam that took place in Rohtas Nagar Parishad in 2016. At that time, the SP of Rohtas was Manavjit Singh Dhillon, who is now DIG in EOU. Before this, Sikandar was a contractor in Ranchi. In 2016, he was a JE in the irrigation department in Rohtas and was in additional charge of JE of the Nagar Parishad there. During this time, he committed the scam and went to jail. Currently, Sikandar is a JE in Danapur Nagar Parishad of Patna.
Daughter and son-in-law are doctors
Sikandar is originally from Samastipur. He lives in Rupaspur area in Patna. EOU is investigating his old records. Information about him is being sought from the departments where he has been posted so far. Along with this, information about him has also been sought from Samastipur and Patna police. Apart from his wife, Sikandar’s family has a son and a daughter, the son is doing BSc Agriculture while the daughter is a doctor. Sikandar has also married his daughter to a doctor who is currently doing PG after doing MBBS from a medical college in UP. The police is also investigating the profiles of Sikandar’s relatives and friends.
Who is Nitish Kumar?
Nitish Kumar is a resident of Gaya and lives in Gopalpur area of Patna. Nitish and his wife were candidates of the teacher recruitment examination held in Bihar on March 15. Both were arrested by the EOU team on the morning of March 15 from Kohinoor Banquet Hall in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Nitish is married in Nalanda. Due to this, he came in contact with Sanjeev Mukhiya of Nalanda. After being released from jail, he joined Sanjeev Mukhiya’s gang and was arrested while leaking the NEET UG question paper.
Who is Amit Anand?
Amit Anand is originally a resident of Mangal Bazar Gumti No. 2 area under Kotwali police station of Munger district. He was living on rent in flat number 202 of Kuldeep Bima Aditya Apartment located in AG Colony of Shastri Nagar police station area of Patna.
Search for seven exam mafias
During the action in the NEET paper leak case, the police recovered burnt question papers. A list of 74 questions was made from this, in which a booklet number 6136488 has also been recovered. To match these questions, EOU needs the original question paper of NEET UG. EOU had written a letter to the DG of NTA on May 21 itself. But till now NTA has not provided the question paper. Now EOU will send a reminder. During the NEET UG examination on May 5, the police arrested 13 accused, out of which six are exam mafia. Currently, seven exam mafias – gang leader Sanjeev Mukhiya, Rocky alias Rakesh Ranjan of Hilsa, Pintu of Hilsa, Chintu alias Baldev of Karayparsurai, Ashutosh of Didarganj, Nitish Yadav and Nitish Patel are being searched.
