Lucknow . A total of 17 people have been arrested on Wednesday in connection with the leak of the question paper of the UP Board’s class 12 English language examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
In the UP Board 12th English paper leak case, District School Inspector Brijesh Kumar Mishra of Ballia has been suspended and arrested. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the STF has started an investigation into the matter. By late night, the Ballia police had arrested 17 people, including the DIOS and a local journalist, in this case. The DIOS and the journalist were sent to jail, who were being questioned by the STF on remand.
According to the information received by the Ballia Police, taking cognizance of the 12th question paper of the UP Board exam going viral in the social media WhatsApp and the news going on at different places, the DM and SP formed teams at different places and compiled the archival evidence. This action has been taken on the complaint of Pradeep Kumar at the police station Kotwali. A total of 17 people have been arrested in this.
According to the officials, at around 10 am on Wednesday, the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of Ballia received the question papers of Inter English Subject Series 316 ED and 316 EI to be held in the second shift. After informing the government, he sent the viral question paper to the UP Board headquarters for investigation. Viral papers turned out to be correct in matching the question papers.
Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Education Aradhana Shukla said that the question papers of both the above series of Inter English were to be tested from 2 o’clock in 24 districts including Ballia. About an hour before the commencement of the examination, the Inter English examination of all the examination centers in these districts was canceled. Duly examination was conducted in the remaining 51 districts.
Shukla said that the Chief Minister has taken this incident seriously. Brijesh Kumar Mishra, District School Inspector of Ballia has been suspended with immediate effect. STF has been ordered to investigate the matter. Whoever is found guilty in this, action will be taken against him till Rasuka.
Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal told that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a strict stand in this matter and has instructed to hand over the investigation work to STF. At the same time, Brajesh Mishra, District School Inspector of Ballia has been suspended.
Secondary Education Minister Gulab Devi told reporters, “Prima facie it appears that the class 12 English language exam paper was leaked in Ballia. The matter is being investigated and strict action will be taken against those found involved in the incident.
When asked about the cancellation of examination in only 24 districts of the state, he said, the paper which was leaked was distributed only in 24 districts, hence the examination has been cancelled.
The official said that the districts where the examinations have been canceled include Agra, Mainpuri, Mathura, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Baghpat, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Unnao, Sitapur, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, Chitrakoot, Ambedkar Nagar, Pratapgarh, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh. , Ballia, Varanasi, Kanpur Dehat, Etah and Shamli.
On the other hand, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, targeting the state government, tweeted, “The business of leaking papers continues unabated even in the second innings of the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh.” The youth are saying that the BJP government, which has failed to provide employment, deliberately does not want to allow any examination to be completed. BSP chief Mayawati said that the issue of paper leak in the UP board examinations is not taking its name to stop. After the paper leak before the Inter English subject examination this afternoon, the examination has to be canceled in 24 districts of the state including Gorakhpur and Varanasi. Why is it fair to play with the lives of students again and again?
He further said that due to frequent paper leaks in Uttar Pradesh, it seems that the copying mafia is strictly out of the grip of the government, but due to such serious incidents, the real blame and blame for the disrepute of the state in the entire country etc. Who is accountable?
