The South African team is currently on a tour of the West Indies. The bowlers are dominating the second test match between the two teams which started on August 15. The African team came out to bat first on the first day of the match, but its innings could not go beyond 160 runs. At one point, South Africa was in danger of being bowled out for less than 100 runs. Thanks to Dane Piedt and Nandre Burger, who came in to bat at number 10 and 11, who saved the team’s honour by making a partnership of 63 runs for the last wicket.
South Africa had lost 9 wickets for 97 runs at one point. After this, Dane Piedt and Nandre Burger batted brilliantly and took their team to 160 runs. Dane Piedt scored 38 and Nandre Burger scored 23 runs. Shamar Joseph took the maximum 5 wickets for West Indies. Jayden Seals took 3 wickets. Jason Holder and Gudakesh Moti took one wicket each.
After bundling out South Africa cheaply, West Indies must have been hoping to take the lead, which they did not get at least on the first day. Like South Africa, West Indies batsmen also disappointed their team. They lost 7 wickets in reaching 97 runs. Now all their hopes are on Jason Holder, who is unbeaten on 33 runs. Out of the 7 West Indies batsmen who were out, 5 could not even touch double figures. After Holder, Casey Carty (26) scored the most runs. South Africa’s Wiaan Mulder took 4 wickets.
