Udaipur, . The successful implementation of 18 innovative initiatives initiated by the Election Commission of India to make the election process more transparent, inclusive and modern has started in Rajasthan. This information was given by the Chief Electoral Officer of the state Naveen Mahajan. Mahajan said that these innovations have been classified into six major categories, which are related to voter facilities, coordination with political parties, procedural reforms, legal provisions, empowerment of election personnel and administrative reforms.
Priority to voter facility and dialogue with political parties
Mahajan said that a limit of maximum 1200 voters has been fixed at a polling station. Additional polling stations will be set up in dense settlements and multi -storey buildings. Direct information will be obtained from the RGI database to remove the names of dead voters. Similarly, along with organizing meetings of more than 1100 political representatives at the DEO and ERO level in Rajasthan, dialogue was established with the major national and state level parties. Training programs for booth level agents have been organized through III DEM.
Procedural reforms and legal reforms and training
He informed that ECINET dashboard was launched which provides all election services on a platform. The EPICT number will now be completely unique, which will eliminate the problem of duplicate identity card. 28 major stakeholders are being identified and provided training material to them according to the RP Act.
Empowerment and administrative reform of election personnel
Standard photo identity cards are being provided to BialoS. The first party of 67 Bialo supervisors from Rajasthan will undergo training at III DEM, New Delhi on 26-27 May. The orientation sessions for SMNOS, MNOS and Bihar Police Officers were also concluded.
Biometric attendance and e-office system implemented in Commission offices. Voter information slips have been made more clear and useful. The implementation is being monitored by regular meetings with the CEO.
