New Delhi. Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets in the 10th league match of IPL 2024. After the defeat, RCB captain Faf du Plessis gave a strange statement. Duplessis blamed the defeat on the pitch. He said that the wicket had become good for batting in the second innings. KKR defeated RCB for the sixth consecutive time since 2016 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Earlier, RCB had a record of 4-2 against KKR from 2008 to 2015. Kolkata has won five out of the last 6 matches against RCB. Before this he had to lose 4 consecutive matches.
Chasing RCB’s target of 183 runs, Knight Riders won the match with 19 balls to spare with the stormy innings of Venkatesh Iyer (50 runs, 30 balls, four sixes, three fours) and Sunil Narine (47 runs, 22 balls, five sixes, two fours). Registered an easy victory by scoring 186 runs with 3 wickets remaining. ‘The pitch suited the batsmen in the second innings’
