Premium sports bike maker Kawasaki has introduced the updated model of its popular sports bike Ninja 400 in the Indian market. The company has introduced this updated Ninja 400 in the global market a few weeks ago, after which it has been launched in India.
The company has brought the Kawasaki Ninja back to India after about 2.5 years, before this bike was put up for sale in India till December 2019. But its sale was stopped due to not meeting the BS6 emission standards implemented in India in April 2020. After which the company has now brought it back by updating it in line with BS6 emission standards.
The company has not only updated the Ninja 400 in terms of engine but is also presenting it with new updated body graphics and two new color themes. The bike has two new colors, the first is Lime Green and the second color is Metallic Carbon Gray with Spark Black.
Talking about the engine and power of the bike, the company has given a 399 cc engine in this Ninja 400, which is a parallel twin FI engine with liquid cooled technology.
This engine generates power of 44.3 bhp at 10,000 rpm and peak torque of 37 Nm at 8000 rpm. With this engine, the company has given a 6-speed gearbox, with which slip and assist clutch have been added.
In the braking system, the company has given a combination of disc brakes in both its front and rear wheels, with which dual channel anti-lock braking system has been given. Also attractively designed alloy wheels and tubeless tyres have been added.
For better riding experience on the roads, duty telescopic front forks at the front of the Ninja 400 and a single mono shock absorber at the rear side have been given.
Talking about the price, Kawasaki has launched this updated Ninja 400 in the market with a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
After its launch in India, this 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400 is expected to compete with the popular sports bikes of this segment, TVS RR 310 and KTM 390.
