Jagdalpur. The 12th board examinations of Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education started from Wednesday. The first day was the Hindi subject paper. In which 7451 students appeared out of 7733 registered students. 282 students did not appear for the examination. It is being seen as a surprise that these students, who passed without taking the exam during the Corona period, did not appear in the examination this year. Amazing because this time already 3.64 percent children did not appear in the Hindi question paper, whereas two years ago when the offline examination of class XII was held, the absentees were less than two percent.
Class 10th exams will start from March 3. Due to the Corona epidemic disaster, the annual examination could not be conducted offline in the last two academic sessions. The students were promoted (general promotion) without giving any examination. After two years this year the exam is being organized. 208 government and private high schools and higher secondary schools have been made examination centers in Bastar district. The school in which the student is studying. I am giving exam in same school. As before, the exam center has not been fixed.
The examination was not taken in the academic session 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 due to corona infection. Prior to this, the last time the 12th board’s offline examination was held in 2018-2019, at that time about two percent students were absent. Two years later, this year, on the very first day of the examination, about three and a half percent students were absent.
On discussing with District Education Officer Bharti Pradhan, he says that earlier also some students were absent in the board examinations. This year, after making the respective schools the examination center, it was the responsibility of the principals of the institution that except in some special circumstances, health reasons, etc., 100 percent students would try to appear in the examination. Not a single copying case was made in the district on the first day. The 12th board exams will continue till March 30. The class 10th examination will start from March 3 and will continue till March 23. The timing of the exam has also been changed this year. The examination is being conducted from 9.15 am to 12.15 pm. In some areas where the number of students is less, examination centers have also been set up for ten to fifteen students.
Many teams were formed to prevent copying
This year the district administration has formed 13 teams at the district and block level to prevent cheating in the examination. The Assistant Commissioner, District Education Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue, Tehsildars have also been given the responsibility of preventing copying.
