A massive fire broke out in the gaming zone of a shopping mall in Rajkot on Saturday evening.At least 28 people, including 12 children, died in this accident. This number may increase further.Police have arrested the owner of the game zone and two managers in this case.
Rajkot. A massive fire broke out in a gaming zone in a shopping mall in Rajkot, Gujarat on Saturday evening, killing at least 28 people, including 12 children. Many shocking revelations are being made about this horrific incident, which raises serious questions about security. The information that is coming out suggests that the owners of this gaming zone had ignored all the rules and regulations.
Initial investigation has revealed that this gaming zone did not have any kind of license. The gaming zone was running without taking any kind of NOC for fire safety. It has also been found that about 1000 to 1500 liters of petrol and 1500 to 2000 liters of diesel were kept in this gaming zone.

This diesel was to be used in the generator, while the petrol was kept for the go-kart. Welding work was also going on in the Game Zone shed. Initial investigation has revealed that the fire started due to the spark from this welding and the petrol-diesel present in such a large quantity made it so intense.

Due to this, 28 people died in the fire. Some bodies could not be identified due to burning in the fire. In such a situation, the bodies will be identified on the basis of DNA and for this, the process of taking DNA samples of the relatives of the deceased has been started.
10 arrested including owner-manager
The state government has formed an SIT to investigate this incident and has assured strict action against the culprits. Meanwhile, Rajkot Crime Branch has arrested about 10 people in this case. This includes the three owners of the game zone, Yuvraj Singh Solanki and two managers, Yagnesh Pathak and Nitin Jain.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has ordered to close all the gaming zones in the state after this accident. He said that all the Mahanagarpalikas, Nagar Palikas, Fire Officers, Local Administration and Police of the state will have to follow this order together. Apart from this, the state government has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.
