Dhanbad. A horrific accident took place on Tuesday in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. A massive fire broke out in the third floor of an apartment named Ashirwad Tower in Jorphatak area here. The fire broke out. This fire could be extinguished in 5 hours with the help of 12 fire engines. By that time 14 people had died. Among the dead are 10 women, 3 children and one man. 17 people have been badly burnt by the fire. The condition of many of them is said to be serious. According to the police, the daughter of a person named Subodh Srivastava was married. In that, all the people had come to the apartment. Then a fire broke out there.
When the fire broke out, people could not leave the third floor of the apartment. Flames surrounded them from all sides. People began to burn themselves with fire and roll on the floor and ladders to save themselves. On getting information about the fire, PK Singh, in-charge of Bank Mod police station, reached. He went inside and tried to save the people. They are also very much burnt in this. An inquiry has been ordered into the fire. All the scorched people are being treated at Pataliputra Nursing Home in Dhanbad itself. The special thing is that on last Friday itself, there was a fire in Hazra Hospital located some distance away from the spot. In which 5 people lost their lives.
Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has expressed grief over the fire incident in Dhanbad. He has said that he is looking into the matter. He has described the death of 14 people as very sad. Hemant Soren has said that all possible steps are being taken for better treatment of the scorched people. He says that treatment is being done as soon as possible. However, Hemant Soren has not talked about giving compensation to the victims of the incident.
