Four IPS officers have been transferred in Jharkhand. According to a notification issued on Tuesday under the signature of government’s Under Secretary Shailesh Kumar Sinha, 2005 batch IPS Kranti Kumar Gaddeshi has been made the zonal IG of Dumka, while 2006 batch IPS A. Vijayalakshmi, who was posted as zonal IG in Dumka, has been posted as IG (Training) in Ranchi.
2011 batch IPS Ajit Peter Dungdung, working as Commandant of Jharkhand Armed Force-One, has been made SP of Deoghar. Apart from this, he will also hold the additional charge of Commandant of Jharkhand Armed Force-5. 2017 batch IPS Rakesh Ranjan, posted as Deoghar SP, has been transferred and posted as Commandant of Jharkhand Armed Police-One.
Major reshuffle in bureaucracy in Bihar
Earlier, the Bihar government on Thursday transferred 9 senior IAS officers including Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department K K Pathak. Pathak’s tenure was surrounded by controversies. Pathak, a 1990 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, is currently on leave and on returning to duty, he will take charge of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department. He is considered a favorite officer of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department, Pathak will replace Deepak Kumar Singh (1992 batch IAS officer), who has been sent to the Rural Works Department.
Pathak will continue to hold the additional charge of Director General of Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD). According to the notification, S Siddharth (Additional Chief Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat) will hold additional charge of Education Department. Siddharth is a 1991 batch IAS officer. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary (1995 batch IAS officer) has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary of Home Department.
Pankaj Kumar Pal, a 2002 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Rural Development Department. Raj Kumar (2010 batch IAS officer), Director of the Social Welfare Department, has been appointed as the new District Magistrate of Bhojpur district. Apart from this, Prashant Kumar CH, a 2015 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Director of the Social Welfare Department. (Agency)
