Tonk. The work of removing ineligible families and connecting characters is going on in the district. The state government has extended the duration of ‘Give Up’ campaign till 31 May 2025. In this campaign, competent families are being appealed to leave the benefit of the scheme.
Since 1 November 2024, 46 lakh 82 thousand 284 members have been removed from the food security list in the entire state. 32 thousand 407 units in Tonk district have been excluded from the scheme. According to the Chief Minister’s announcement, the portal of the Food Security Scheme was opened from 26 January 2025. Through this, new members have been added to 27 lakh 10 thousand 134 units so far in the state. 535 families have been included in the scheme in Tonk district.
The District Logistics Office is issuing notice to 20 ineligible families every week. The department is also identifying people who are taking advantage of the scheme despite being competent and are not giving ‘Give Up’ applications.
District Logistics Officer Indrapal Meena has appealed to ineligible families to voluntarily remove the name from the scheme by voluntarily applying to the ‘Give Up’ by 31 May 2025. After this, the recovery of wheat received so far and other legal action will be taken if the department is identified.
