Uttar Pradesh News Desk: Bad roads in rural areas in Lucknow will be improved assembly wise. In this sequence, 70 roads of three assembly constituencies of Lucknow, Mohanlalganj, Malihabad and Sarojininagar, have been marked. About Rs 18 crore will be spent in the repair and renovation of these roads.
The Public Works Department has sent a proposal for general repair and renovation of rural roads to the government. In the proposal, approval has been sought for the new road and repairs in view of the financial year 2024-25. In the proposal, a list of roads of three assembly constituencies has been prepared for reconstructing the roads constructed during the year 2016-17. The tender process in this regard has started. Which has been targeted to be built by March 2025.
Now rural roads will be built in five years not eight
After the order was issued by the government, preparations to improve rural roads in five years instead of eight years have intensified. In this matter, President of Diploma Engineers Association, E. ND Dwivedi said that it has come to his notice that the renewal of rural roads is not being approved. Due to this, pothole filling and patch work work gets stuck on the roads in rural areas.
