Sagar. A major accident has happened in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. 9 children lost their lives after being trapped in the wall of the premises of Hardaul temple of Shahpur located in Sanodha police station area of Sagar district. 4 children were seriously injured in this accident. This accident happened on Sunday when Bhagwat Katha was going on in the temple and Parthiv Shivling was being made. Since it was a Sunday holiday, many children had also come to the temple. At around 10 in the morning, when the children were making Shivling, the wall of the temple premises collapsed. Due to the sudden fall of the wall, the children did not get a chance to escape and they got buried under it.

The sound of the wall falling and the children getting buried under it created a lot of commotion among the devotees who had come to Hardaul temple. Efforts to save the children began. A JCB was called. The debris of the wall was removed with the JCB. By that time 9 children had died. The 50-year-old wall was very heavy. In such a situation, 4 children were found seriously injured under it. All the children have been admitted to the hospital. On getting information about the accident, Gopal Bhargav, MLA of Rahli assembly and a powerful minister in the Madhya Pradesh government, also reached the spot. He consoled the people after reaching the spot. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav has also expressed grief over the death of children in the untimely accident.
Today, I am saddened to hear the news of 9 innocent children dying due to the collapse of the wall of a dilapidated house due to heavy rains in Shahpur of Sagar district. I have directed the district administration to provide proper treatment to the injured children.

CM Mohan Yadav has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the children who lost their lives in the accident. CM Mohan Yadav has also directed the Sagar district administration to provide all possible treatment to the four injured children. It is believed that the old wall had become more dilapidated due to rain. Due to which this accident happened.
