The collision was so strong that the car was badly collapsed and two people died on the spot, while the remaining three injured died on the way to Jaipur.
Villages were returning after the exam
The deceased have been identified as Yadram Meena (36), Monica Meena (18), Archana Meena (20), Vedika Meena and Mukesh Mahawar (27). All these people were returning to their village Bhajeda and Mahawa after getting the examination at Nirvana College, Bassi, Jaipur. Ambulance trapped in the virtuous tunnel of the ghat, three more learn
But unfortunately, on the way to Jaipur, the ambulance got stuck in a jam in the tunnel of the ghat. Due to the sluggish speed of traffic and lack of proper ambulance corridor, the injured could not get timely medical facilities. All three were declared dead as soon as they reached Jaipur.
Eyewitnesses told – the trailer hit directly
Eyewitnesses of the accident said that the trailer had become uncontrollable and suddenly he crossed the divider and hit the car directly. The collision was so severe that the car flew away. Local people and police, who arrived at the scene, immediately started rescue work, but by then it was late.
Flaws in victim families, mourning in villages
As soon as the information of the dead, there was mourning in his village Bhajeda and Mahawa. Monica and Vedika were real sisters and were fast in studies. According to her family, she was preparing for government jobs in future.
Questions raised on administration: Why was there no green corridor for ambulance?
After this accident, the negligence of the administration has once again come under the scanner. No special arrangements were made to remove the ambulance stuck in the jam. The unavailability of the ambulance corridor on routes like expressway and National Highway was paid by these three innocent lives.
Sikandra police station Sho Ashok Chaudhary said that the accident took place around 5:30 pm. The trailer was at a high speed with an iron guard and lost control of the driver. The accident is being investigated and a case has been registered against the trailer driver.
Editorial comment: It is clear from this incident that it is not enough to make only roads in the country. Such incidents are not going to stop until road safety, speed monitoring, ambulance response system and traffic management are equally noticed.
This price of five lives is not just an accident, but the failure of the system.
