New Delhi/Asansol. Railway Protection Force (RPF) is always ready to make the journey of railway passengers pleasant and safe. Special campaigns are also run from time to time for this. Along with this, action is also taken against those who carry out any kind of illegal activities through the train. Under a similar campaign, RPF is continuously taking action these days. The RPF team was patrolling the Kumbh Superfast train (train number 12369) with caution. Two people were sitting in AC 3 bogie with two big bags. Both of them got nervous on seeing the RPF jawans. After this, a big racket was revealed on searching.

Both the passengers sitting in the B-3 coach of the AC bogie had a backpack and a trolley bag. Both were filled with a lot of stuff. Seeing the RPF team, both started behaving strangely. This also made the RPF jawans suspicious. They asked both of them to open their bags and show it. At first, both of them hesitated, but when they were made strict, they opened the chain of the bag. As soon as the bags were opened, the RPF jawans were stunned. Both the bags were filled with liquor bottles. Taking immediate action, the RPF took both of them into custody and also confiscated the consignment of liquor.

According to the information, this incident is of 22 July 2024. A team of RPF led by SI Rajeshwar Mandal, ASI Natu Chakraborty and CT Dinkar Tiwari raided train number 12369 (Kumbh Express). The team found two persons Sanjeev Kumar and Krishna Kumar suspiciously keeping backpacks and trolley bags under the berth of coach B-3. On investigation, a large quantity of foreign liquor bottles were found in the bag. 90 bottles of whiskey of various brands were seized in the raid, the total value of which is estimated to be Rs 39,210.
