Taking these medicines without need can cause antibiotic resistance in the body and some other side effects can also be seen. Some people start taking painkillers in case of fever and body pain, but this should not be done. Paracetamol is a medicine which works as a painkiller along with fever. Taking it does not irritate the stomach and does not harm the liver.

According to health experts, if the cause of cold, fever and cough is a viral infection, then it can take about 5 to 7 days to cure it. However, sometimes people keep having fever for more days than this. In such a condition, people should consult a doctor and get themselves examined.
