The double murder that took place in the Nenmara area of Palakkad district of Kerala did not kill only two people, but shaken the roots of an entire family. 55 -year -old Sudhakaran and his 75 -year -old mother Lakshmi were murdered with a knife by a man who had already gone to jail in the case of murder of Sajitha – Sudhakaran, the first wife of Sudhakaran and recently came out on bail.
The same killer, three lives – family tragedy
Chanthamara, who carried out this dreadful incident, was the neighbor of Sudhakaran. In 2019, Chanthamara killed Sajitha, and now he brutally killed Sudhakaran and his old mother. Only daughters Akhila and Atulya survived, who were not in the house at that time.
Today both daughters are alone – mother, father and grandmother were killed by the same killer.
The reason for the negligence of the police became the cause of death?
The daughters allege that they had already complained to the police against Chanthamara. He said that “We are afraid that he may do some incident again. He should be removed from our neighborhood.” But the police did not take any concrete action. The result came to light as a dual murder on Monday.
Reason for murder: witchcraft and fire of revenge
Chanthamara told the police that he suspected that Sudhakaran’s family witchcrables and drove his wife away from him. Due to this reason, he was mentally filled with revenge. He already bought a special weapon for murder and carried out the incident under a pre-planned scheme.
The accused was cleared of the police
After the incident, Chanthamara went into the forest and hid. The police cleverly laid a trap – they announced that the search had been stopped. Hearing this, the hungry-thirsty Chanthamara returned home to eat, where the police nabbed him. He is now in custody and has accepted the murder.
Daughters scream: “We want justice”
Akhila and Athalya told the media,
“The killer first killed our mother, then our father and grandmother too. He will go to jail and then come out? Will anyone survive whom he killed?”
He has demanded the hanging of Chanthamara, so that he can never destroy a family again.
What does this incident say from society?
This case states that dangerous criminals are not monitored on bail.
Mental health, superstition, and a sense of revenge can give rise to a terrible tragedy.
How much police can get the police ignored – an entire family was destroyed.
Now the whole village is raising voice for justice
Local people have also protested outside the police station. Now not only Akhila and Atulya, but the whole society is saying –
“Should not be spared now … should be hanged!”
