Mumbai Indians IPL 2024 : Mumbai Indians, captained by Hardik Pandya, are not going well. The team has lost 3 consecutive matches in this year’s IPL and is at the last position in the latest points table. Mumbai is the only team among the ten included in this year’s Indian Premier League, which has not been able to win even a single match so far and is waiting for the account to be opened. Meanwhile, good news has come for Mumbai Indians. It has been learned that soon star player Suryakumar Yadav is going to join the team and it is possible that he may also join the playing eleven of the next match.
Suryakumar Yadav gets green signal from NCS
Suryakumar Yadav now looks ready to play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. A Cricbuzz report states that Surya has been approved by the NCA, he can now join his team and play in the IPL. It is said that he can be seen with the team on Friday i.e. 5th April. The good thing is that two days after this, i.e. on 7th April, Mumbai team will be seen playing its next match. This match will be played against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Surya was struggling with ankle injury
Suryakumar Yadav, the number one batsman in ICC T20 rankings, has not been seen on the field for a long time due to injury. He last played cricket in December 2023, when he scored a century in the third T20I against South Africa. During this series, he suffered a Grade 2 injury to his ankle, after which he underwent surgery. After this, Suryakumar also underwent sports hernia operation, which further delayed his return to cricket.
Naman Dheer may be dropped from the playing eleven
It is said that after joining the team, he will take part in the practice session, only after that a decision will be taken whether he can play in the next match or will have to wait. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav will play at number three for his team in the IPL. In the three matches played by Mumbai Indians so far, Naman Dheer was seen playing at number three. He may have to lose his spot. In the first match, Naman Dhir scored 20 runs, after which he scored 30 runs with his bat and in the fourth match, he went to the pavilion after getting out on zero without opening the account. That means his performance was not so unexpected that the captain had to think too much about dropping him from the playing eleven. It remains to be seen what changes in the Mumbai Indians team with the arrival of Surya.
