Chandigarh Poonam, the councilor of the Aam Aadmi’s party, complained to the Sector 11 police station for threatening to kill her husband Sandeep. On his complaint, the police arrested the accused Sandeep. Poonam submitted a complaint to the police by making serious allegations against Sandeep and the woman living in the neighborhood in Sector 25. Poonam alleges that there is an illicit relationship between her husband and the woman, due to which his family has been having long stress, domestic violence and mental harassment.
According to the complaint, on June 27, Poonam’s elder son found some such evidence, which confirmed the suspicion between the girl and her father about the relationship. When the son spoke to the young woman, he allegedly responded, do what you want to do, Sandeep is mine and will remain mine. This caused the son to mentally hurt and returned home and told the mother the whole thing. When Poonam’s husband Sandeep returned home at night, he allegedly assaulted his sons.
According to Poonam, when he protested, Sandeep got angry and committed violence on the family while talking to the woman. Poonam herself reached the girl’s house after this dispute, where the woman and her sisters allegedly scrambled with her. During this time his gold tops also fell. Poonam further told that after half an hour Sandeep came up with a knife and threatened to kill him in front of his son Ayush. The son kept pleading that “Let the father be, the mother will be engaged”, but Sandeep’s anger did not diminish.
Poonam says that she has been facing mental and physical torture for the past 10-12 years. She alleged that her husband Sandeep had also given a hefty amount and gold jewelery in the girl’s account. Poonam also claimed that Sandeep threatens her when she protested, that she would make her political career ruined by making false complaints. Sandeep has been arrested after handing over the complaint to the police. The investigation of the case is going on. Sandeep has got bail.
