Rishabh Pant in your court.
Your Court: This time the guest on India TV’s popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ is Team India’s star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. During the show, he openly answered the questions of India TV Chairman and Editor in Chief Rajat Sharma. During the interview, Rishabh Pant told how ‘three miracles’ saved his life and career. Pant had a car accident in December 2022 while going from Delhi to Roorkee. He was badly injured in it. But after this, he returned to cricket with courage and passion and made a place in Team India.
‘The doctors said it would take me 2 to 3 years to recover’
Pant said, “The doctors had told me that it would take me two to three years to recover. Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala did a wonderful job. He came to me and said Rishabh, look, you need 3 miracles. You have already done two miracles. First of all, you survived even after the accident, which is a miracle in itself, second, your right knee which was bent 90 degrees to the right, you put it back in the same place immediately after the accident with the help of someone, if you had not done all this, amputation could have happened. Third miracle, the doctor said you have already done two miracles, if there is no surgery of ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and PCL (posterior cruciate ligament), then this will be the third miracle, my ligaments were badly torn, nothing was left.
‘Both the ACL and PCL healed on their own’
Rishabh further said, “I told him that sir, don’t worry, I will do this too, and that is what happened. This miracle happened, because the doctor told me that out of several lakh cases, there are only a few cases in which both ACL and PCL heal on their own. God was very kind. Both ACL and PCL healed on their own.” Dr. Pardiwala is a famous arthroscopic surgeon of Mumbai who has been working in this field for 22 years. He is a member of the ICC’s medical committee.
Pant returned to IPL 2024 after becoming fully fit
Rishabh Pant returned to the field fully fit in IPL 2024 in which he captained the Delhi Capitals and scored the most runs for the franchise in the 17th season. A total of 446 runs were seen from Pant’s bat. At the same time, Pant has now returned to the Indian team and is a part of Team India’s squad in the T20 World Cup 2024.
