Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was caught in a serious case of money laundering related to the alleged liquor scam in Delhi, finally got the relief he was waiting for for months. Rouse Avenue Court has granted bail to CM Kejriwal. ED had asked for 48 hours time from the court, but the court rejected the arguments of the investigating agency and granted bail to CM Arvind Kejriwal. Earlier, during the hearing on Wednesday, the judge had asked ED that what is the need to keep Arvind Kejriwal in judicial custody now. On this, ED had told the court that a trace of Rs 45 crore has been found in the alleged scam of Rs 100 crore. The interesting thing among all this is that usually senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi used to represent CM Arvind Kejriwal in the court. He gave all kinds of arguments, but could not get regular bail for CM Kejriwal. On Thursday, senior lawyer Vikram Chaudhary appeared in the court on behalf of the Chief Minister of Delhi. The court granted bail to CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Usually, during the hearing of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s cases, the main lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi used to be present in the court, but this time senior advocate Vikram Chaudhary had presented arguments. The court accepted the arguments of the defense and granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal. The court rejected all the arguments put forward by the investigating agency ED. The central investigating agency even asked for 48 hours’ time from the court, but the court did not listen to ED. Let us tell you that in the alleged liquor scam case of Delhi, the ED arrested Kejriwal on March 21 after a long interrogation. After that, the special bench of the Supreme Court granted him interim bail to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections.

Rouse Avenue Court has finally granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. With this, Special Justice Bindu has also come into the limelight. In an earlier hearing, Judge Justice Bindu had extended the judicial custody of CM Kejriwal till 3 July 2024. After this, while hearing the case on 20 June, CM Kejriwal was granted bail. Actually, at present summer vacations are going on in the court, so regular court is not being held. At present, the vacation bench is settling the cases. In such a situation, the case of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was listed before the vacation bench. The case was also heard by the vacation bench of Judge Justice Bindu.
