New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Ishant Sharma has praised all-rounder Akshar Patel. Ishant is currently doing commentary in the T20 World Cup 2024. In the ongoing Super 8 match between India and Afghanistan, Ishant said something for Akshar, after which Navjot Singh Sidhu sitting with him in the commentary box could not stop laughing. As soon as Ishant praised Akshar Patel, this all-rounder from Gujarat proved himself better by taking a wicket on the very next ball. Akshar scored runs at a strike rate of 200 in the first batting. After this, he proved his usefulness by taking a wicket in the powerplay.
Team India captain Rohit Sharma put Akshar Patel on the bowling front in the fourth over of the match against Afghanistan (IND vs AFG). When Akshar Patel was brought in to bowl in the powerplay, it was also discussed in the commentary box. Fast bowler Ishant Sharma started praising Akshar as soon as he saw him. He took the team to a strong score by adding 60 runs in 37 balls for the fifth wicket with all-rounder Hardik Pandya (32 runs). Virat Kohli (24) and Rishabh Pant (20) also played useful innings. India scored 66 runs in the last 6 overs.
