new Delhi. The delegation of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has given a memorandum to the Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Prof. M. Jagadish Kumar, regarding the subjects of the education sector. Through the memorandum, ABVP has put forth demands for 100% implementation of the National Education Policy, giving non-net fellowship to all eligible PhD scholars and increasing the amount of non-net fellowship, undoing the academic session affected due to Corona, etc.
Along with this, in the memorandum, the ABVP issued a calendar for admission and eligibility tests, conducting regular student union elections, developing infrastructure according to the number of students for research and quality education, preparing courses in Indian languages and providing courses to industries and education sector. Including the issues of connecting etc. have been raised at various levels.
ABVP National General Secretary Yajnavalkya Shukla said, “Due to the Corona epidemic, big changes are being seen in the education sector. After detailed discussion with the students and other stakeholders related to the education sector, ABVP has demanded concrete decisions on the development of infrastructure, implementation of education policy, more investment in research etc. The ABVP hopes that a decision on these issues will be taken by the UGC soon.” ABVP National General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla, National Ministers Sakshi Singh, Harikrishna Nagothhu, Mustafa Ali, Biraj Biswas were present in the delegation that met the UGC Chairman.
