This mode is good in rainy season
You are given a multi-function remote with the AC, in which you get different modes. Cool mode is generally used in the scorching summer season. In this mode, more pressure is put on the AC compressor, due to which more electricity is also consumed. In summer, without this mode, the AC is not able to cool the room properly. However, if you use this mode in the rainy season, then you will not get any benefit and the electricity bill is also high.
According to AC companies and experts, ‘dry’ or ‘dehumidified mode’ should be used to run AC during rainy season. The main reason for this is that there is a lot of moisture or humidity in the atmosphere during the rainy season. Due to this, the moisture in the air does not get removed in other modes. In dry mode, the moisture of the atmosphere gets removed and the compressor consumes less energy compared to cool mode, which means there is saving in electricity bills.
Running the AC in other modes does not reduce the humidity of the environment and the room does not cool properly. This is the reason why the AC should be run in dry or dehumidified mode during the rainy season.
