The ACB took action at Chhipabraud in Bara district late on Tuesday (22 April). Banandi Patwari Ashwani Singh was arrested by ACB red handed taking a bribe of 25 thousand rupees. The action was taken under the supervision of Additional Director General of ACB Smita Srivastava. The raid was conducted by a team led by ACB Bara DSP Premchand Meena. On receiving the complaint, the ACB investigated on 16 April, in which the accused was given Rs 3000 and later it was decided to pay Rs 4500. The trap action was taken on the night of 22 April. The accused was arrested red handed taking a bribe of Rs 4500.
ACB received complaint
ACB Outpost Bara received a complaint. The complainant said that Sukhneri Parvan village comes in the submergence area, in which Patwari Ashwani Singh is seeking a bribe of 50 thousand rupees. Rs 7,500 in lieu of compensation of the complainant’s house and the tubewells installed outside the house. In the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Range Kota Shivraj Meena, ACB outpost Bara Premchand Meena Police Deputy Superintendent arrested accused Ashwani Singh Patwari red handed taking a bribe of ₹ 4500 from the complainant.
The accused is being questioned.
The inquiry and action is underway against the accused under the supervision of ACB’s Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava. The ACB will register further investigation by registering a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
ACB action also in Ajmer
On Tuesday (April 22), ACB also took major action in Ajmer. The then Assistant Engineer (AEN) of Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited has been arrested for earning disproportionate assets. His wife has also been arrested along with the then assistant engineer in the disproportionate assets case. The ACB has taken this action after completion of the investigation of the disproportionate assets case against the couple.
