Jaipur. A review meeting of drinking water work of Jaipur division was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Public Health Engineering Minister Kanhaiya Lal in the office of Gandhinagar.
The Minister of Water gave various important instructions to strengthen the drinking water system in view of the challenges of the summer season. He said that under the summer contency, the tasks like depth of tubewells, pipelines and pump set changes should be completed quickly so that relief can be provided to the common man during the scorching heat. He said that the contingent works sanctioned by the recommendation of the District Collector should be completed very soon, no delay and negligence will be tolerated in this.
The Minister of Water Supply gave instructions to ensure drinking water supply in Jaipur city and rural areas as per real requirement. He said that in the year 2024-25, the operations of the approved head pumps and tube wells should be completed by May 15 and the budget announcements of 2025-26 should be completed by 31 May.
Take action to remove illegal water connections and regularize
The Minister of Water Supply said that during the campaign, action should be taken to remove illegal water connections and regularize it. He also directed to expedite the outstanding water revenue collection, including the release of the work order of tenders under the Amrit 2.0 scheme till May 15 and the remaining work order by 31 May. He said that extensive publicity of departmental activities should be done and necessary action should be taken to maintain regular drinking water supply in Sambhar and Phulera. He instructed to repair the roads stuck due to intensive monitoring of the transmission line TM-01 of Bisalpur scheme, judicial cases under the water life mission and repair broken roads under the mission.
The Minister of Water Supply said that fittings should be done by following the quality standards prescribed in drinking water connections, as well as the Amrit 2.0 works should be completed on time in the Facted Manor. He instructed to give quality solution to the complaints received on Rajasthan Sampark Portal and District Level Control Room. He also directed all departmental officers to be present at the headquarters during the summer season and to speed up the acceptance process of proposed works in the budget announcements of the year 2025-26.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Bhaskar A Sawant, Chief Engineer (Rural) KD Gupta, Chief Engineer (Urban) Manish Beniwal, Chief Engineer Chief Engineer (Project) Raj Singh Chaudhary and concerned Engineer Gan.
