ACS, Forest Department gave instructions to speed up the progress of construction of biological parks

Jaipur. Aparna Aroda, Additional Chief Secretary, Forest Environment and Climate Change Department, took a meeting of the concerned officials in the Secretariat to review the progress of the construction of Zoo/Biological Park announced in the state budget year 2024-25 and 2025-26. In the meeting, detailed discussions were held in connection with the improvement (Nahargarh, Pushkar, Bikaner) and new proposed Zoo and Biological Park (Abheda, Alwar, Keurani, Bharatpur). A presentation was given by World Wide Zoo Developers for the new proposed world -class biological park in Kehrani area of ​​Alwar. After this, the presentation was done by the authorities regarding Bikaner, Pushkar, Abheda and Nahargarh Zoo.

The ACS appreciated the development and management works done in Abheda organic park. The Chief Conservator of Forest Conservator, Bikaner and Deputy Conservator, Bikaner directed to expedite the work for the slow pace of development works in Bikaner Biological Park and no action plan for translocation of wildlife.

The ACS described the plantation at the biological park as low and instructed all the officers to plant more and more saplings in the new zoo/ biological park. Instructed to prepare an animal action plan with timeliness to translocate Zoo Animals from other states or districts in the new/under construction biological park. Instructions were also given to make a detailed project report from expert agency for the new biological park. He instructed the concerned officers to submit all the aspects of Zoo for the construction, water, shadow, greenery, cleanliness etc. and to submit a detailed plan in relation to the operation and submit it by the end of this month. The Chief Wildlife Report Arijit Banerjee was directed to determine timeline for construction and expansion proceedings as per the international standards of all Zoo/Biological Park.

The meeting was attended by Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Conservator and Chief Wildlife Advocate Shikha Mehra, Chief Forest Conservator, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Chief Forest Conservator, Wildlife, Jaipur and the concerned Deputy Forest Conservator.
