The Social Welfare Department has suspended four Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) and one District Program Officer (DPO) of Katihar district on charges of irregularity in Anganwadi centers.
These include Falaka Block CDPO Pamela Tudu, Kadwa CDPO Shabnam Sheela, Manihari CDPO Gudiya, Mansahi CDPO Sangeeta Mink and DPO Kisalaya Sharma.
Recently, Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni visited the respective blocks of Katihar district and inspected Anganwadi centers. During the investigation, many irregularities were found in Anganwadi centers. Action has been taken against the officials concerned on this basis.
