New Delhi. Water suddenly entered a coaching centre for preparing students for UPSC civil services in Old Rajendra Nagar area of the country’s capital Delhi late on Saturday evening. 3 bright students died in this accident. After this incident, there was panic in the government and administration. After this, the Delhi government has started taking action against those responsible for the accident. While taking action against Rao IS Study Circle, the owner and co-ordinator of the coaching centre have been taken into custody. Now the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has started taking action against those coaching centres which are using the basement by ignoring the rules.
There are many coaching centres in Old Rajendra area which prepare students for UPSC Civil Services. A big accident happened in one such famous coaching centre Rao IAS Study Circle on Saturday 28th July. Water suddenly entered the basement of the coaching centre. At that time many students were studying in the basement. Before they could understand anything, they got caught in the water continuously entering the basement. 3 students died in this accident. After this incident, questions started being raised from the government to the administration. The Mayor of Delhi Municipal Corporation formed a high level committee in this matter and ordered immediate action.

After the accident in the coaching centre, the Delhi government as well as the MCD have been severely criticized. Now the MCD has started taking action. The team of Delhi Municipal Corporation reached Rajendra Nagar area on Sunday 28 July 2024. The corporation team has started sealing action against those coaching centres which are using the basement by ignoring the rules. Let us tell you that now the MCD has started the action of sealing the illegal basement. On the orders of Mayor Shaili Oberoi, the MCD team has reached many coaching centres.
Improper use of basement
Three students died due to water entering the basement of Rao IAS Study Circle. Initial investigation has revealed that Rao Coaching Center had taken license to use the basement for some other purpose. It was said that the basement was being used for storage, whereas it has been revealed that there is a library in the basement. This is a blatant violation of rules. Now action has been initiated against the wrong use of the basement.
