Hanumangarh. The district administration remains sensitive to deal with the situation of waterlogging caused by heavy rains in Hanumangarh’s Gram Panchayat Makkasar last week. Due to continuous rains, the low -lying areas were flooded, after which the district administration took immediate action and sent the SDRF team to the spot. The SDRF team with the help of villagers and panchayat representatives brought 25 affected families to safe places. These families have been accommodated in the shelter sites built in Gram Panchayat Bhawan, Community Building and Government Primary School Makasar.
Relief and Medical Facilities:
Shelter: Tents, electricity and plastic covers have been arranged for the affected people.
Meal: The system of food has been ensured with Annapurna kitchen and public support.
Treatment: Medical teams conducted health tests of the affected people, and the Animal Husbandry Department also made medical arrangements for animals.
Drainage work continues:
Pump sets are also being used along with old and new borewells for drainage. The water is being drained into the fields of local farmers.
A proposal is being prepared by the Assistant Engineer of the Panchayat Samiti to avoid such a situation in future. Ration kits in relief camps are also being distributed with public support. Panchayat Samiti officials and subdivision officers are constantly monitoring the arrangements.
