How to safety from fire accident. Many states of the country including Delhi are experiencing severe heat at this time. The incidents of fire have also increased significantly in this scorching heat. The special thing is that the equipment like AC, generator, stabilizer and inverter installed to avoid heat are catching fire. All these equipment are not able to tolerate the heat inside and outside and fire occurs. In such a situation, you get affected by it knowingly or unknowingly. In case of fire, you do not get enough time to save yourself or your family members. In such a situation, if the incident of fire is to be prevented then prevention is the only solution.
Delhi’s Public Works Department has recently issued an alert for 10 big hospitals of the capital. Although this alert is for the hospitals of Delhi, but if you adopt these simple measures in your home, house, shop, mall or factory also, then you can avoid accidents caused by fire. If you follow 5 of these 15 measures properly, your house, building and shop will never catch fire and your family will always be safe.
Follow these measures to avoid fire
1- Switch off all electrical appliances/gadgets before leaving home, shop and office.
2- If you work in an office, do not leave the computer, UPS, AC, wall fan, lights etc. “on” while leaving the office.
3- Ensure that no material is deposited near switch boards/points/DB etc. in corridors and exits by the staff or other users taking care of the house, house, shop or office.
4- Never use the AC unit on a normal plug point or temporary extension board except MCB operated/protected.
5- Old/unused furniture/shelves should not be kept near the staircase and electrical main board sub-distribution board.
6- Do not connect more than one electrical appliance to one socket. Never overload/overheat the electrical system.
7- Do not remove the plug from the socket without switching it off.

8- To avoid overloading and overheating, no electric kettle or oven etc. will be plugged into the computer point.
9- Do not keep bare wire ends in the socket.
10- Do not throw burning cigarette/beedi pieces and matchsticks.
11- Do not keep oil lamps, incense sticks or candles on the floor or near flammable materials.
12- Do not silence and reset the fire alarm under any circumstances.
13- Do not allow waste paper and other flammable materials to accumulate in the office.
14- Always ensure good housekeeping. It is the best preventive measure against fires and their spread.
15- Please ensure that all air conditioners, wall fans, UPS and other electrical appliances should be switched off when there are no people in the area/room.
