In the match played at Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan won the toss and decided to bat. Giving a good start to Afghanistan, openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran together scored 59 runs. Gurbaz played a brilliant innings of 43 runs in 55 balls in which he hit 3 fours and 1 six. Bangladesh opener Liton Das remained at the crease till the end to make his team win, but no batsman supported him from the other end. Liton Das played an unbeaten innings of 54 runs in 49 balls. In this innings, Das hit 5 fours and 1 six. Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs.
