There will be Mata worship today, while on March 1, a Shiva procession will come out. The great festival of worship of Lord Shiva will be celebrated on Tuesday. Pandit Sanjay Purohit told that this great festival is coming after 35 years with the worship of Shiva and Vishnu for three consecutive days on Ekadashi, Sompradosh and Mahashivratri, in which the fourth constellation will be together. In this Mahayoga of Purvashadha Nakshatra, Uttarashada Nakshatra, Shravan and Gherdha Nakshatra, this great festival will be celebrated along with Tripushkar Yoga and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga. He told that this year on Mahashivratri such yogas are being made that all the wishes of the devotees will be fulfilled. Pandit Sanjay Shastri, Upadesh Shastri told that the importance of anointing this earthly Shivling is more. Abhishek should be done by making a clay Shivling with darshan in the temples. Uddh, curd, ghee, sugar, honey, hemp, perfume, datura, acoa and bilpapatra should be offered. On Mahashivratri, there is a significance of doing Abhishek in all the four Prahars. Specially, preparations are going on vigorously in the Kanch Mandir at Madhavganj, Gupteshwar Mahadev Temple, Battereshwar Mahadev Temple, Charantirth Rameshwar, Gopeshwar Mahadev, Amriteshwar Mahadev Temple at Mahalghat, Jatashankar Pagoda, Pagoda at Ramghat, Bharati Math.

Maha Mahotsav is going to be held in Vidisha from today on the occasion of Mahashivratri. The entire marriage festival of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati is being held here. Smiling Shiva and Parvati’s bride and groom statues have been brought from Betul. Mata worship will be held from 3 pm today. Tomorrow Monday, there will be a program of Mandal, Haldi, Mehndi and Mahila Sangeet. After this, all the rituals of marriage will be performed on March 1. Shiv Barat will be taken out from Mukherjeenagar temple to Banglaghat at 2 pm. Sanju Prajapati, one of the organizers, believes that on the occasion of Mahashivratri, the entire marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati is not organized anywhere else in the state. 500 invitation cards and about 4,000 pamphlets have been distributed across the city for the wedding. Bangla Ghat along the Betwa beach has been decorated as a wedding venue. Thousands of people will reach from the city in this 3-day long marriage festival.
