Saran. It is being said that the electoral battle on Chhapra seat will be interesting this time in the Lok Sabha elections. In fact, after Lalu-Rabri and their alliance, now Lalu’s daughter Rohini will compete with Rajiv Pratap Rudy in Saran district of Bihar. Now, this time there is news of an interesting fight in Chhapra. However, NDA Lok Sabha candidate from Saran seat Rajiv Pratap Rudhi is confident about his victory. Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who came out for election campaign, has said that he has been fighting the Lalu family since the beginning.
In such a situation, even if Lalu’s daughter Rohini Acharya joins the Grand Alliance, it will not make any difference to her. After contesting elections from Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi, Rajiv Pratap has also contested elections from his wife Chandrika Rai. After losing the elections to Lalu Yadav in 2004 and 2009, Rajiv Pratap Rudhi, who has been MP from Chhapra four times, is contesting this time too and the party has given him the ticket. Rudy, who was MP from Chhapra in 1996, 1999, 2014 and 2019, had a fight with Lalu’s family every time.
Know who won when?
Let us tell you, before 1996, Lalu had influence on this seat. But, in 1996, BJP candidate Rajiv Pratap Rudy registered victory and breached Lalu’s stronghold. Hiralal Rai defeated him in 1998. But, only two years later in the elections held in 1999, Rajiv Pratap Rudy was elected for the second time. In 2004, Lalu became MP for the third time by defeating Rudy. Even in 2009, Rudy lost to Lalu Prasad.
Bihar: This Lok Sabha candidate’s wife is a millionaire, fond of rifles, gold and silver, and expensive cars too.
