New Delhi. The Indian cricket team is about to leave for Sri Lanka tour. T20 and ODI series will be played on this tour. In the team selected by the selectors, Suryakumar was made the captain of T20 in place of Hardik Pandya. Ever since this news came out, everyone was waiting for the reaction of all-rounder Hardik. He talked about his fitness and other things.
Hardik told in a program, “I had no idea what could happen to me due to fitness, but I just felt that I always have to be number 1 in everything. Because of this habit, when I was young, I used to train a lot, I always used to push my limits, I used to run a lot, that is why my base is very strong.”
He further said, “I did not know much about my body, nor did I know how to improve my fitness, although my foundation was strong and I did all the basic things properly during training, which I should have done. This is what helped me do well at the top level.”
“I used to bowl at 130 kmph initially, then I managed to take it to 140 if I remember correctly and then I accelerated my ball to 142. It was only in 2017 that I got to know my body better and I kept pushing the limits and moving further and further.”
