Amravati: A senior leader of the Yuvajana Sramika Raithu Congress Party (YSRCP) has changed his name after the elections. In fact, before the assembly elections in the state, the YSRCP leader had claimed to defeat Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. He had said that if he could not do so, he would change his name. He said that no one forced me to change my name. I changed it on my own will. However, he complained about the alleged misbehavior of the Janasena chief’s fans.

Let us tell you that YSRCP leader Mudragadda Padmanabham has officially changed his name to ‘Padmanabha Reddy’. Actually, the YSRCP leader had promised to defeat Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan during the campaign for the recently concluded assembly elections and change his name if he failed to do so. 70-year-old Reddy has changed his name after Pawan Kalyan’s victory in Pithapuram assembly constituency. Before the elections, the YSRCP leader had challenged to defeat Pawan Kalyan.
Nobody forced
Padmanabha Reddy told reporters that “nobody forced me to change my name. I changed it of my own free will.” However, he complained about alleged abuse by the Janasena chief’s fans. Reddy said, “The youth who love you (Kalyan) are constantly abusing me. I think this is not right. Instead of abusing, do one thing, finish us (all family members).” Reddy, a prominent leader of the Kapu community and a former minister in the government, has campaigned for Kapu reservation. Reddy joined the YSRCP a few months before the elections. (input language)
