Initially, reports had suggested that Kohli and Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah would be out of the series due to continuous cricket commitments for the last six months. However, on Gambhir’s request, both the cricket veterans are now available for selection. According to reports, after ensuring Rohit Sharma’s participation, Virat Kohli has also confirmed his availability for the Sri Lanka tour. Earlier, it was reported that Kohli, Sharma and Bumrah will be rested for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, with the board ready to give them a break. Despite this, new developments indicate that Rohit and Kohli are now ready to play, while Jasprit Bumrah will still be rested from both the T20 and ODI series to manage his workload.
