new Delhi. After the poor performance and defeat in five states of the country, there is a stir among the G23 leaders of the Congress. A meeting was held at Gulab Nabi Azad’s house in Delhi on Friday evening, which was attended by Congress leaders Kapil Sibal, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Manish Tewari, Anand Sharma and Akhilesh Prasad Singh.
The performance of the Congress was discussed in the meeting and also, according to information received from sources, the G23 leaders raised the issue in the meeting that the election of the new president should not be delayed any longer. Also there should be an emergency meeting to discuss the election defeat. Apart from this, accountability for defeat should be fixed and the composition of Congress Working Committee (CWC) also needs to be changed.
The meeting held at Gulab Nabi Azad’s house lasted for about two hours, although no leader spoke to the media while leaving. In Manipur, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Goa, the Congress has performed very poorly in the assembly elections.
Earlier, G23 leaders have questioned the leadership of the Congress high command. In such a situation, after the poor performance in the elections, once again stir has started within the Congress party. Along with this, a meeting of the Congress Working Committee can also be called soon after this meeting. In which once again there is a possibility of big change.
