New Delhi. Two trains have been cancelled and several others have been diverted following the train accident in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. Indian Railways has released a list of all the trains affected by the incident. Details of the new routes of these trains have been provided. Notably, train number 5094 (Gonda to Gorakhpur) and train number 5031 (Gorakhpur to Gonda) have been cancelled for Thursday. Train number 15707 Katihar-Amritsar Express and train number 15653 Guwahati-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express have been diverted via Mankapur-Ayodhya-Barabanki.
These are the affected trains
According to reports, the Dibrugarh Express (train no. 15904) derailed near Gonda, resulting in the death of four passengers. Several passengers are still reported to be trapped in the derailed coaches. Rescue and relief teams are present at the spot. An AC coach has been badly damaged in the accident. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident and directed officials to reach the spot. Several trains on the Lucknow-Gonda-Gorakhpur route have been diverted. These include train number 12598 Mumbai-Gorakhpur Antyodaya Express, train number 15204 Lucknow-Barauni Express, train number 12532 Lucknow-Gorakhpur Express, train number 15652 Jammu Tawi-Guwahati Lohit Express, train number 15910 Lalgarh-Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Express, train number 11123 Gwalior-Barauni Express, train number 02570 New Delhi-Darbhanga Express and train number 12566 New Delhi-Darbhanga Bihar Sampark Kranti Express.

Rescue and Relief Operations Ongoing
Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh said that disaster relief medical vehicle from Gonda has reached the accident site. Rescue and relief operations are being carried out on war footing. Indian Railways has issued helpline numbers for passengers for assistance and more information.
