After the rape and murder of a female doctor in RG Kar Medical College Hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal, doctors across the country have come out in protest. Doctors are protesting across the country. The Kolkata High Court has ordered the investigation of this case to be handed over to the CBI. Meanwhile, on the second day of the doctors’ strike, AIIMS New Delhi has released a data. According to the data released by AIIMS New Delhi, there has been a 66 percent decline in regular OPD. On the other hand, if we talk about admissions in AIIMS, then 330 admissions have been taken today. On the other hand, if we look at the admission figures, there has been a decrease of 65 percent in admissions.
Decrease in number of operations and OPD
According to the data of AIIMS New Delhi, 70 major and 13 minor operations were done in the operation theatre today. Due to this, a 90 percent decline in operations has been registered today. Talking about laboratories, there has been a decrease of about 25 percent in laboratory services. Today, only 17095 cases could be tested. Radiological intervention has also been greatly affected due to the strike of junior doctors. Due to this, about 40 percent cases have decreased. In the case of nuclear medicine, only 37 PET scans have been done and if seen in that way, scanning has decreased by about 30 percent.
Rape in hospital, doctors protest across the country
On one hand, doctors across the country are protesting against the rape and murder of a female doctor in RG Kar Medical College Hospital. On the other hand, a video has surfaced from the incident spot, i.e. the hospital itself. According to the information, vandalism is being carried out around the place in the medical college where the doctor was brutally assaulted. The vandalism is going on near the PO (seminar hall) in the hospital. In such a situation, the question is being raised whether there is an attempt to tamper with the evidence before the arrival of the CBI?
