: The Indian Air Force has announced recruitment for a total of 317 posts in Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical) Branch, Ground Duty (Non Technical) Branch. How will the recruitment be done
Indian Air Force makes these recruitments through AFCAT. The full form of AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. Those who pass this test are selected for the flying branch of Indian Air Force and other branches. The special thing is that after getting selected for these posts, the candidates will get a salary of Rs. 56100- 177500.
Who can take the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCT)
To get a job in the Indian Air Force, there is an Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), for which only those candidates can apply who have passed 12th with 50% marks, but the condition is that they should have passed Intermediate in Science stream (Maths and Physics). Different qualifications are prescribed for different posts.
IAF AFCAT 2024 : Age Limit for AFCAT
For recruitment in the Flying Branch of Indian Air Force, the age of the candidate should be between 20 to 24 years and for applying for the posts of Ground Duty Branch, the age of the candidate should be between 20 to 26 years.
Flying Branch- To apply for Flying Branch, the candidate must have passed 12th Science stream (Maths and Physics) with 50% marks and graduate candidates with 60% marks in any stream can also apply for it. Apart from this, BE/BTech pass with 60% marks can also apply.
Ground Duty (Aeronautical Engineering)- To apply for these posts, it is necessary for the candidate to have passed 12th Science stream (Maths and Physics) with 50% marks. Apart from this, the candidate should have an engineering degree. If integrated post graduate can also apply.
Adminstration- To apply for these posts, the candidate must have passed 12th with 60% marks and should be a graduate.
education- Candidates applying for these posts should have 50% marks in 12th and be post graduates with 60% marks in any stream.
Logistics-If you have graduated with 60 percent marks then you can apply for these posts.
How many vacancies for which post
There are total 29 vacancies in the flying branch of Indian Air Force. Out of these, 18 are for men and 11 are for girls. Similarly, 88 vacancies of AE in Ground Duty (Technical) are for male candidates, whereas 23 are for women. Male candidates can apply for 36 vacancies of AL, whereas 9 are for women. Similarly, under Ground Duty (Non Technical) branch, 14 vacancies of WS are for male candidates, whereas women can apply for 3. Similarly, 43 vacancies of Admin are for men and 11 are for women. 13 vacancies of Logistics are for men and 4 are for female candidates. 10 vacancies of Accounts are for men and 2 are for girls. 7 vacancies in Education will be for male candidates, whereas female candidates will be selected for two vacancies.
