Ahmedabad. Air India flight 171, which flew from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, has been officially confirmed. Air India President N. Chandrasekaran expressed deep condolences on this accident and said – “With great grief, I confirm that Air India flight 171, leaving for London Gatwick from Ahmedabad, has been a tragic accident today. Our deep condolences are with the families and loved ones of all the people affected by this dreadful incident. At this time our biggest focus is to give all possible help and support to our families and their families.”
He further said that Air India’s emergency response teams have reached the spot and are engaged in relief and rescue operations with local agencies. All necessary assistance and medical facilities are being provided to the affected passengers and their families.
Chandrashekaran informed that the situation is constantly being monitored and as verified information will be shared, the official updates will be shared. An emergency center has been activated in view of this accident. Along with this, a special support team has also been formed for the affected families which will provide all necessary information and assistance.
