Air India’s Mumbai-London flight had to return to Mumbai on Wednesday morning due to a cabin pressure problem. The flight had departed from here on Wednesday morning with 354 people on board. The pilot-in-command had reported a cabin pressure problem. According to Bhasha’s news, apart from this, Vistara’s flight coming from Delhi to Mumbai had to make a priority landing here on Wednesday due to a minor technical problem. A source said that the plane landed safely.
Air India Mumbai-London flight
Air India flight AI-129, (Mumbai-London flight) took off from Mumbai on Wednesday morning. It returned to the city after the pilot reported a pressurisation problem in the cabin of the Boeing 777 aircraft. The flight took off from Mumbai at 8.36 am and returned to Mumbai at around 11.30 am. Meanwhile, an Air India statement said that the flight from Mumbai to London returned to Mumbai due to a technical problem. The aircraft landed safely in Mumbai for precautionary checks.
The airline also said that it has already made alternate arrangements to take the passengers to their destinations. Air India said that it has offered full refund on cancellation of tickets and rescheduling of tickets to some other date as per the wish of the passengers.
Priority landing of Vistara flights
The airline said that a Vistara flight from Delhi to Mumbai made a priority landing here on Wednesday due to a minor technical problem. The aircraft landed safely and is currently being inspected. A Vistara spokesperson said in a statement that shortly before landing, Vistara flight UK 995, flying from Delhi to Mumbai on 14 August 2024, detected a minor technical glitch.
There were about 165 people on board, including seven crew members
Without sharing the number of people on board, Vistara said that as a precautionary measure, the pilots requested the air traffic controller for a priority landing and landed the plane safely at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. However, according to a source, there were about 165 people on board the Airbus A320 Neo aircraft, including seven crew members.
According to live flight tracking website flightradar24.com, flight UK 995 took off from Delhi airport at 10.49 am and landed at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 12.29 pm. Vistara said all passengers have deboarded the aircraft, which is undergoing necessary checks before resuming operations.
